I'm Erick Hecksher, and I love art. Since I was a kid, I've been dreaming of working in videogames and movies, and that dream is what pushed me to pursue a career as a concept artist.
I started this journey back in 2010 when I decided to study animation and visual effects, which ended up with me living in Los Angeles, California for three years, the best years of my life so far. I was lucky enough to attend The Los Angeles Film School at the historic Sunset Blvd to take the Computer Animation program. School was awesome, but I can't say that after graduating I stopped being a student. The fact that I was surrounded by industry experts everywhere taught me that if you really want to succeed at art, you must never stop learning.
I've been lucky enough to work in really cool projects with amazing artists, and at the same time learn from the very best.
Today I'm a freelancer living in Mexico, working mainly in marketing, and on my spare time I continue to get better as an artist thanks to awesome resources such as Schoolism.com, DigitalTutors.com and courses made by the best artist the world can offer (Thanks gumroad!).
